* What is a Giclee print?
Giclee is pronounced as “zheeclay” and is a French word meaning “fine spray”. It is a computer generated print produced by spraying an image onto various papers, including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper.
How do I produce my Giclees?
I take a high-resolution digital scan of an original print, negative, or print from a digital file. Once I’m satisfied with the scan, I make a print using a professional high quality Epson printer and archival inks. The mediums I print on are acid free. The fine image resolution in this printing process permits retention of fine detail from the original print, producing a permanent fine art print with beautiful saturated colors and tones. In my opinion, the Giclee print is superior to other print making methods.
